The protection of your privacy and your personal data are very important to us. We collect, process and store personal data only in accordance with the statutory provisions (Data Protection Act nDSG and Federal Data Protection Ordinance DSV).

We only collect personal data that is related to our relationship with you. The data we collect includes, in particular, your contact details such as name, address or e-mail address, especially when you register for our Community of Practice, register for our events or send us electronic e-mails.

We collect personal data in the following cases: When you visit our website; when you communicate directly with us; when you sign up for our newsletter or events; when you participate in a survey; or when you otherwise provide us with your personal information. In all cases, we process your personal data exclusively for the purpose intended and recognizable to you.

As a matter of principle, we will not pass on your personal data to other third parties, unless we are legally entitled to do so or you have given us your consent to do so. We generally store your data for as long as our relationship with you requires.

In principle, you can visit our Internet pages without having to provide any personal information. When you visit our website, our servers temporarily store each access in a log file. The following technical data is collected and stored by us until automated deletion after seven months at the latest:

  • Date and time of access
  • Internet page from which the access was made, if applicable with the search word used.
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Searches performed
  • the operating system of your computer (provided by the user agent)
  • browser you are using (provided by the user agent)
  • Device type in case of access by cell phones
  • transmission protocol used

We do not use tracking tools.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit our website. If you call up the page again, your browser sends the content of the cookies back to us and thus enables recognition of the end device. The reading of cookies enables us to design our website optimally for you and to make it easier for you to use. On our website you will find links or plug-ins to various social networks (such as LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) or event platforms (e.g. Eventbrite). Clicking on the links opens the corresponding pages to which this privacy policy does not apply. For details on the provisions applicable there, please refer to the corresponding privacy statements on the websites of the individual providers.

Before calling up the corresponding link or plug-in, no personal information is transmitted to the respective provider. Your access to the linked page is also the basis for the data processing by the respective providers. We have no control over the data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing and the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of data by the plug-in providers.

You can subscribe to newsletters as part of our online offer. For this purpose, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, according to which we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have previously expressly confirmed the activation of the newsletter service by clicking on a link in a notification. If you later decide not to receive newsletters, you can unsubscribe at any time with future effect by revoking your consent. The revocation takes place for e-mail newsletters via the link printed in the newsletter.

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • You can request information about your stored personal data at any time.
  • You can request a correction, addition, blocking or deletion of your personal data.
  • If you have given us permission to process your data, you can revoke this permission at any time with effect for the future.

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data stored with us against manipulation, partial or complete loss and against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
